Cuba presents UN resolution condemning U.S. blockade

Today, the United Nations General Assembly, for the 27th time, is considering a resolution calling for an end to the criminal blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba

El Salvador’s representative speaks for the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), supporting the Cuban resolution.
Venezuela conveys a message for the Non-Aligned movement backing the resolution and rejecting amendments proposed by the United States.

Egypt’s representative speaks for the Group of 77 Plus China, condemning the blockade.
Morocco’s representative addresses the General Assembly in the name of the African Group, saying, “In my capacity as President of the African Group, I insist on the need to put an end to the economic, commercial financial blockade imposed on the people of Cuba that would save thousands of lives and allow Cuba to continue its development.”
